The goal of this XI Annual Medical Workshop is to How Integrate the Latino Health Professionals in USA , bring awareness,to our members of the difficulties of our medical and health professionals to be licensed or to prepare for their "Board" in different areas and how difficult it is to enter residency nowadays,This program also will provide guidance to new immigrants health professionals, how to compete in your area in USA*

This program and our guests, is preliminary, and subject to change and reconfirmation

The Institute for Latino Studies' Conference on Dominican Affairs, the only state Dominican organization representing and advocating for the rights and interests of Dominicans in New Jersey, was established in 2000. It has held ten annual conferences and implemented the following initiatives: The First Visual Exhibit of New Jersey Dominicans at the Newark Public Library; The First Socio-Demographic Study of New Jersey Dominicans; Tu Cuentas! Naturalization Project; Youth Leadership & Mentoring Program (LAMP); The Latino Leadership Academy (LALEA); The Book camp; Documentary Los Panfleteros de Santiago (Santiago's Pamphleteers), and among other publications and projects, the book and documentary "New Jersey Dominicans: A Decade of Accomplishments."

About Dra.Maria Teresa Feliciano, Founder.

Dr. Maria Teresa Feliciano is currently the President of the Conference on Dominican Affairs. She is founder of the Institute for Latino Studies, Research and Development in Paterson, New Jersey. Dr. Feliciano recently published her book “Latina y Evangelica,” an analysis of how the church and the Latino culture form an “effective alliance” from oppression against women. She received a bachelors’ degree from Thomas Edison College and her doctorate from the New Convenant International University.
