About Rosa saldana.

Rosa Saldana was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She inmigrated to New York City in 1985. Saldana has a Bachelor and a Graduate degree in Bilingual Education with a Minor in Computer Science from the City College of New York. She also obtained a Masters in Public School Administration from Mercy College. In 2005 she co-founded PROMECIN INC. an information technology company dedicated to the installation and management on networks. In 2007 PROMECIN became a New York City/State certified minority business this open the doors to do business with city and state organizations. PROMENCIN has partnered with companies such as DELL, HP, VMWARE and CISCO among others to provide customers with quality and value in all products and services. PROMECIN is dedicated to total solutions in IT providing 21st century technology to franchises, mid-sized businesses, non for profit organizations and medical practices.

About Dr.Gonjon:

Cheng Antonio Gonjon, MD
Biography

Born in Santo Domingo on July 7th, 1967 to both a Chinese Father named Cheng Gonjon and Dominican Mother named Aurora Paulino.

Arrived in the USA at the age of 5 in Washington Heights at 189th Street and St. Nicholas and attended elementary school at PS 189 and junior high school at IS 143 in Washington Heights and went to High School at JFK in the Bronx and graduated with honors.

Was awarded a full scholarship to Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts in 1985 and was a Pre-med student and a Sociology major. Graduated with honors and 2 scholarships.

Was accepted to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1989 and 4 years later did a residency in Emergency Medicine at Jacobi Hospital and Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.

Practiced Emergency Medicine from 1994 to 2004 in Montefiore Hospital, St Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital and Beth Israel Medical Center.

In 2004 he Opened his Private Medical Practice in Washington Heights called Imperial Medical PC and currently has over 2000 private patients, the majority of them Domincan and Latinos.

With the Help of his Wife named Elsa Bula who is a Physician Assistant His Practice was recognized in Oct 2010 as a Medical Home Level 3 by the NCQA which is the highest level of quality recognition for a medical practice.

Elected President of the Dominican Medical Dental Society in 2010 and has participated in a variety of activities to help the Dominican Community which include Health fairs in partnership with the Mujeres Progresistas, Yearly Medical Missions to the neediest areas of the Dominican Republic with the Corinthian IPA and Dominican Medical Society; Medical Symposiums to help educate Dominican and Latino doctors and Toy drives to benefit poor children that are hospitalized in the poorer sections of the Dominican Republic like Santiago Rodriguez.

Member of the Corithian Medical IPA (Which consist of 700 community Physicians) Since 2005.

Member of the Board of the Dominican Cultural and Sports Organization Los Mocanos, Bronx, New York since 2009.

Member of the Board of the Community Service Organization Dominican Sunday, New York, NY since 2010.

Dr Gonjon Has been recognized by various individuals and organizations for his contributions to the Dominican and Latino Community and has received the following Honors and recognitions:

Proclamation from New York State Senator Adriano Espaillat (NYS Senate, 31st District, Manhattan) For Exemplary Community Service.

Proclamation from New York State Senator Jose Peralta (NYS Senate, 13th District, Queens) For Exemplary Community Service.
New York City Council Citation for Exemplary Community Service by Honorable New York City Council Member Julissa Ferreras.

Citation of Honor for Medical, Educational and Humanitarian Services presented by the Office of the President of Queens Helen M Marshall.

Recognition Award for Outstanding Contribution as a Medical Doctor by the Community Services Organization Dominican Sunday, Inc.

Recognition Award for Community Service by the Dominican Cultural and Sports Organization Los Mocanos, Bronx, NY.
