La Asociacion Dominican American Communitarian Association Inc NJ,[Dacanji], Y la Asociacion Hispana de Profesionales de la Salud, Inc NY,[AHPSI] sostuvieron la primera reunion taller de inicio de los Trabajos de preparacion de la XII Feria anual de la Salud" Decide To be Healthy" , este pasado Sabado 16 de Marzo,2013, en el Restaurant Pikalonga, en la ciudad de Perth Amboy.

Esta reunion inicial conto con la presencia del Dr.Hector Castro, Chairman de salud de Latino Leadership Alliance of New Jersey.

El Dr.Castro hizo una breve exposicion el programa del Instituto Latino de Slaud, dirigido por el en New york.

Por la Asociacion Hispana de Profesionales de al Salud, estuvieron Presente desade New York, el Dr.Diogenes Fermin, Lic.Julia Bello.

El ahpsi, de nuevo estara ofreciendo todo su apoyo con nuestros profesionales dela Salud en esta feria, pautada para el Domingo, 23 de Junio, en Perth Amboy" Expreso el Dr.Fermin.

Ygnacio peña,nuevo Sponsorship Coordinator, de esta feria, hablo de los programas nuevos las cuales traera esta feria , entre ello la aplicacion de una encuesta de salud de 20 Preguntas la cual sera completada por Voluntarios de la High School de Perth Amboy, al Igual que ofrecio detalles de la Publicacion de un nuevo periodico especial para la feria.

Tambien Durante esta reunion taller de trabajo el comite organizador dela feria preseneto un nuevo Auspiciador " Genao's Medical Supply, representada por su Propietaria Mayreli Genao, ubicada en 471 New Bruswick Ave, de Perth Amboy, New Jersey.

El Dr.Restituyo, Coordinador y Fundador de esta feria de al Salud, en su 12va Edicion, introdujo nuevos miembros al comite: Rafel Nuñez,LPN, Dr.Rene Nuñez, Dra.Massiel Benitez, Nelson Hernandez, Sicologo.

Breve Biografia del Dr.Hector Castro

Dr. Hector Castro is an expert in the fields of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine. He is Medical Director and Founding partner of Itzamna Medical Center, a modern facility dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of Latinos and all New Yorkers and their families. Itzamna was among the first private, physician owned organizations to specifically address the many health challenges faced by Latinos when it opened its doors in 2001. In 1966, Dr. Castro emigrated with his family from Honduras to New York City. He grew up in Hells Kitchen in Manhattan, attended public schools and earned a Bachelors Degree in Biology from Pace University in New York City. A graduate of Univerisidad Autonoma De Guadalajara School of Medicine, Dr. Castro has more than a decade of experience in private practice. Dr. Castro completed his Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship training at Cabrini Medical Center-New York Medical College. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He is a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine and Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York. Dr. Castro is an Attending Physician at the Beth Israel Medical Center, Mount Sinai Medical Center and Cabrini Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Castro also serves as the Medical Director of Student Health Services at the Juilliard School in New York City and is the Medical Director of the Beth Israel Latino Health Institute in New York City. Dr. Hector Castro is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American College of Chest Physicians, the American Medical Association and the New York Academy of Science. Dr. Castro is also the first recipient of the Dr. Charles P. Fulton Pulmonary Fellowship Award in 1992. This award is given by the American Lung Association- New York Chapter, to help train minority Physicians in Pulmonary Medicine
