Program Description & Objectives
The conference will be comprised of a variety of prevailing and notable topics in the areas of epidemiology, pulmonology, endocrinology, internal medicine, social work, nutrition and orthopedics.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be better able to:
· Recognize the impact of health reform on the Latino community and physician practices.
· Evaluate and manage obese patients with sleep apnea, hypertension, metabolic syndrome and podiatric issues.
· Understand the roll-out implementation of health care reform and to make necessary adjustments in practices.
· Improve standards of care, including appropriate referral.
Target Audience
This activity is as an educational program for practicing physicians, residents, and fellows in the specialties mentioned above. The curriculum has been designed to encourage the exchange of information with a combined format of lecture presentations from nationally prominent speakers. To enhance the objectives, time will be given for audience participation.

Tuition
Tuition: $100.00 Attending; $60.00 Member in Training and Students. The fee includes the academic presentations, continental breakfast, lunch, refreshments, and a course syllabus. Confirmation of registration and directions to the medical center will be sent upon receipt of the registration form. Refund of registration fee, less a $25 administrative charge, will be made if written notice of cancellation is received by May 20, 2013. No refunds can be made thereafter.
