Breve datos biograficos Dra.Maria Reynoso.
Maria E. Reynoso was born in the Dominican Republic in the town of San Francisco de Macoris. She lived there for the first 22 years of her life, before moving to the Capital Santo Domingo, where she lived until she immigrated to NYC in 2011. During her formative years, she attended the School San Vicente De Paul from where she obtained her high school diploma with very high honors.Since she was a little, Dr.Reynoso was very active at different activities and sports. Since very young age Dr. Reynoso was showed deep compassion for others and people in needs. She joined the medical School at the age of 15 years old. She obtained her degree as Medical Doctor from The Catolica Norderstana University, in 2004. Dr. Reynoso, practiced in The Dominican Republic for 8 years mostly in primary care before moving to the United States.
Dr.Reynoso, grew up close to her grandparents and family members. With her grandmother she participated since very young age at different activities at church where she learn about compassion, empathy, respect for others and life.
When she first moved to New York, Dr. Reynoso worked as an USMLE coordinator for the AHPSI. She was accepted as Psychiatrist resident at Bronx Lebanon Hospital in 2013 where she completed 3 years of adult training, Dr. Reynoso’s passion to work with children led her to continue further training in psychiatry. She joined the Child and Adolescent Fellowship program in the same Hospital for 2 year where she spent the last year as Chief Fellow in this program. While in training she published and presented multiple papers and research work nationally and internationally. She went on to obtain significant training in Psychoanalysis at the Williams Alanson White institute in Psychoanalysis in Children and Adolescents until January 2019.
Upon finishing her fellowship Dr. Reynoso continued to work as an Attending in Psychiatry with adult and children at BronxCare Health Center. She serves as supervisor at a clinic of 1500 patients and but also works with adults and children in the Emergency room. She is an attending supervisor of Psychiatric residents and Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Fellows, and this summer will become the Director of the Child Psychiatric Emergency Unit at BronxCare Health System.
