Un gran privilegio y honor anunciar que la reconocida periodista, reportera de la cadena telemundo area de metropolitana de Filadelfia Miss.Shaira Arias, será reconocida dentro de nuestra cena de gala XX aniversario del colegio médico dominicano filial valle delaware-Filadelfia , a celebrarse el sábado 29 de octubre 2022, hora 7pm, lugar de este evento: Four point Sheraton Hotel, 9461 Roosevelt ave, Philadelphia, PA,EE-UU,19114, Shaira Arias,recibirá el premio «Excellence in journalism, at CMD-Delaware legacy 20 anniversary award”, junto a otros fundadores, empresarios, lideres, profesionales,de nuestra organización.
Nuestra cena de gala y el congreso medico anual internacional, esta dedicado póstumamente a nuestro fundador, lider, y empresario el Dr.Dante Marino Sánchez Del Orbe, fallecido durante la pandemia del COVID 19.

SHAIRA ARIAS A SER RECONOCIDA:
Shaira Arias, born in the Dominican Republic, raised in the Bronx, abandoned her entire career and future in modeling, to dedicate herself to journalism, graduated in journalism at the renowned university of Fullerton, California, since her arrival at the telemundo network in the city of Philadelphia, has set the standard in its dedication and detachment towards our Latino community, in this area, its work during the covid 19 pandemic, was key to raising awareness and bringing calm to our community, our organization Valle delaware subsidiary Dominican medical school , feels honored and grateful that Shaira Arias is with us today receiving this humble recognition.
Shaira Arias is an Emmy Award winning multimedia journalist for NBC 10 and Telemundo62. She can be seen weeknights on Noticiero Telemundo 62 at 6pm and 11 p.m.
Shaira joined NBC10 and Telemundo62 in February 2020 and enjoys connecting with her audience and sharing their stories. As a bilingual reporter, she is passionate about creating a bridge between the Spanish and English-speaking audiences. Shaira loves covering the culture, soul and history of Philadelphia and its surrounding area.
“I love the diversity in its residents; there are people from all over the country that live in Philadelphia,” said Shaira. “The stories in Philadelphia are constantly making national headlines which challenges me every day as a journalist.”
Prior to joining NBC10 and Telemundo62, Arias served as a multimedia journalist for two years at WUVP-TV. Prior to that, she worked as a field producer, freelance reporter and assignment desk editor for KMEX-TV in Los Angeles.
Shaira graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and concentration in Broadcast Journalism. She has been nominated numerous times for her work and in 2019, she was recognized with a Mid-Atlantic Emmy® Award in the Human-Interest category for “Cosecha Sin Frutos” (Fruitless Harvest), a story about the hardships that immigrant agriculture workers face in the fields picking crops.
Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Shaira comes from a supportive, Dominican family and was a candidate for Miss Dominican Republic USA in 2014. When she’s not covering news, Shaira enjoys traveling, spending time with family, watching movies and volunteering at local community events.
