Dr.Gustavo Pérez, married to Luz Pérez. Father of 2 daughters, Luz Mercy Pérez, received a bachelor’s master degree in medical research, from the renowned Stanford University, Palo Alto, California. Alberlys Perez, she also graduated from the master’s research at Rutgers ,the State University, of New Jersey.
Dr. Pérez graduated as a doctor from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo UASD, Dominican Republic, trained in radiology through the Central University of Venezuela, has a master’s degree in clinical counseling through the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo , UASD, has a professional license in clinical counseling from the State of New York, also has a certification in addictions, from the state of Pennsylvania, resides in Philadelphia for more than 28 years, working in different mental health clinics, occupying different positions, until reaching the currently of which he is the executive director of 2 Harmony Wellness Group mental health clinics.
He is co-founder of the Valle delaware-philadelphia branch Dominican medical college, the first and only association of Dominican professionals, in the state of Pennsylvania, specifically Philadelphia, co-founder of the cooperative of Dominican doctors, for 22 years, co-founder of the medical congresses international schools of the Valle Delaware Branch Medical College, he has been an advisor to these institutions on several commissions, both in Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey, and the Dominican Republic, representing these institutions, always advocating for services to our immigrant health professionals, he was co-founder of the master’s program in clinical counseling, through the autonomous university of Santo Domingo, which has graduated hundreds of professionals in this area.
Dr. Pérez is a political activist, from which he has fought for the adequate representation of our professionals and the community in general, representing the health sector within.
Currently, Dr.Gustavo Perez is president of the Dominican Medical Association, Valley Delaware-Philadelphia affiliate, and is also president of the organizing committee for the 20th anniversary celebration of its annual international medical congress of this institution, which represents medical professionals from the state of Pennsylvania, Delaware and Pennsylvania.
His work has been recognized by several institutions both in the United States and also in the Dominican Republic.
Dr. Pérez is the staff manager at the mental health clinic, Harmony wellness Group, with 2 offices, located in the city of Philadelphia, which assists more than 2000 clients in the area of mental health.
In his 28 years of practice as a mental health therapist, Dr. Pérez has cared for hundreds of children, adolescents, adults and the entire family, helping them over time to overcome the challenges for life which represents the stigma of health. mind, in our community.
