Founder, President & CEO

Mr. Toro is an accomplished entrepreneur and innovator in electronic transaction processing and healthcare information systems, with over 30 years of experience. Before MEDINEXO, as president and CEO of his own Software Engineering firm, Toro Technologies, Inc., he developed a successful business which delivered critical path systems for MasterCard, AT&T Universal Card, Global Payment Systems and others in the payment industry. Mr. Toro successfully sold his company to PaylinX Corporation (later acquired by publicly traded Cybersource). After his exit, Mr. Toro worked for over 10 years in structuring capital for growth for his own ventures and others across the Americas. Prior to moving to the USA, Mr. Toro was the Manager of Information Systems for the Healthcare Department of the city of Bogotá. He was then responsible for information technology for 5 major hospitals and over 90 community healthcare centers.

As the founder of MEDINEXO his innovative approach to Healthcare access to technology and communications has opened the way to prevailing success for members of Medinexo in their Telehealth services, care-team collaboration without borders and now their ability to participate in the Clinical Trials global market. Mr. Toro has an extensive background in Information Technology and international business. Mr. Toro holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Computer Science, from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia and a master’s degree in Management Information Systems from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
