Dr. Dante Marino Sanchez del Orbe, founder of our Dominican Medical Association, of Delaware, valley, will receive a posthumous tribute, within our gala dinner, XX anniversary to be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 7pm, in the city of Philadelphia, , his close family, his children, wife and sisters, will be present at this event, which represents a recognition of the great work, academic, community, humanitarian, business and exemplary husband of Dr. Dante Sanchez.

Dr. Dante Sanchez, was an expert professor in mental health.  Graduated as a-Doctor in medicine  in Autonomous University of Santo Domingo in April 1984. He also did a specialty in -Gyneco-obstetrics  and graduated from IDSS and UASD.  in 1992.

He was a Professor at UNPHU at New York of School Psychology where he taught Foundations of Psychology, Multicultural Competence and Neuroscience. He was also taught interns on how to master Psychology and prepared Dominicans to practice as professionals in the United States.

He completed a Specialty in Neuropsychology at  Miguel de Cervantes European University, in 2013. He also held a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Orientation from the  Interamerican University of Puerto Rico.

He  held a degree in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy from the University of Washington, in 2013, a Certificate in Cognitive Therapy from the Beck Institute in 2011 , a certificate in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, 2009 , a Certificate in Psychiatric Rehabilitation, 2009, Certificate in Multicultural Competence from Prime Institute/Drexel University, 2007. ,Certificate in Recovery/Train the Trainer from Yale Program, 2007, Certificate in Mental Health in Gerontes. Philadelphia Corporation for Aging, 2006. Additionally he completed a one year Postgraduate  program in Psychiatry. University of Leon. Lion. Spain. -2006’

He had a Drug and Alcohol. Behavioral Health Consulting  Certificate from. NJ.  in 2000   and was a  Certified Hypnotherapist . Graduated  from the Well-being Institute. Filadelfia PA, 1999. He worked for the International Visitor Program. United States Information Agency-USIA. Department of State. Washington, USA.

Dr. Dante Sanchez, was a professor in the Clinical master’s degree  Psychology at the Pedro Henriquez Ureña University, co-founder of the Dominican Medical College of the Delaware Valley, with more than 300 members residing in the state of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Dr. Sanchez was a writer, painter, and folklorist, contributed to the development of Dominican arts and identity in the city of Philadelphia, through well-established institutions such as the Dominican House of Culture of Philadelphia, and the Dominican parade and festival of Philadelphia of which He has been its president.

He was Director of the COMHAR/Latino Treatment Program. Philadelphia, Pa.  from 2000-July 15, 2013, where he employed more than 50 Dominicans. He served over 3,000 Hispanics each year for 13 years. He helped get work visas for Dominicans.  He was also a Consultant-Citywide Comm. Counts. Services in June 2013.He trained Dominicans.-Official Executive Director. Cognitive Behavioral Services Inc. Philadelphia Pa. 2006-Present. It has employed Dominicans and provided services to about three thousand Hispanics every year for 10 years. He also collaborated with a work visa for Dominicans.

Dr. Sanchez was the author of the book «The two caresses of pain» Poems. Introduction by Narciso Gonzalez (Narcisazo).He was a Painter. There is a Pictorial exhibition at the Juan Pablo Duarte School in Manhattan, NY; Joint exhibition at SKETCH, the first time that Hispanics exhibited in that traditionally exclusive place.

-He has an Exhibition at Taller Puertorriqueño in Philadelphia, PA. and Joint exhibition at the Philadelphia Board of Education-and at The Hispanic Community Counseling Services, also in the city of Philadelphia.

Dr. Dante is survived by his wife Deyanira Litka, current CEO of cognitive behavioral services clinic, their four children: Dante Samir, system engineering graduate, Dra. Dafni Sanchez, medical doctor graduate, Deyadira Glanowsky, nurse, Danny Sanchez , bachelor’s degree in business.

His three sisters, Evelyn, Sory, and Alqui.

He is also survived by his five grandchildren Sophia Glanowsky, Dante, Emilio, Deyanelle and Danelle, all of whom love and admire Dr. Dante Sanchez.
