BIOGRAFIA
DR. VIDAL PRIMITERIO
Nació en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana, desde temprana edad sabía que su vocación era la medicina, realizó sus estudios desde la primaria hasta universitario en Santo Domingo, RD (graduado en la Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) a la edad de 24 años, con el título de Doctor en Medicina), el Dr. Vidal Primiterio ha sido muy reconocido por todos sus compañeros de promoción desde temprano inicio en la carrera de medicina por su dedicación como dirigente y activista estudiantil, desempeñó su labor como presidente de la Unión Nacional de Internos de medicina, (UNAIME), trabajo por varios años en el hospital Dr. Francisco Moscoso Puello, (santo Domingo), Emigró a los USA (ciudad de Lawrence) en Abril 1992, a su llegada, la deficiencia del idioma lo obligó a empezar a trabajar como empleado de medio tiempo en uno de los supermercados local como cajero así como empleado en una tienda por departamento en la ciudad de Lawrence. Más tarde empezó a trabajar como asistente de enfermería, luego pasó a trabajar como flebotomista para un laboratorio médico lo cual lo llevó a conseguir un mejor empleo en el área del sector salud como técnico en diálisis, durante este tiempo consiguió introducirse en la práctica de la medicina en el Departamento de Justicia de los USA ( FEDERAL BUREAU OF PRISONS) donde trabajó como Physician assistant (no certificado) en el sistema penitenciario federal en el estado de Pennsylvania, desempeñó ese trabajo por un año y medio.

SU INCURSION EN LA MEDICINA EN MASSACHUSETTS
Luego regresó nuevamente a la Ciudad de Lawrence e ingreso a la universidad, Massachusetts College of pharmacy and Health and science donde obtuvo su título en maestría como Physician Assistant, una vez graduado empezó a ejercer la medicina en varios hospitales locales tales como: Merrimack Valley hospital en la ciudad de Haverhill, MA (dept de Emergencia), luego se transfiere al Holy family Hospital ( dpt de Emergencia) por un periodo aproximado de 20 años, al mismo tiempo trabajó en el Lawrence General Hospital, (dept de emergencia), por igual en el Hospital de la ciudad de Winchester en el departamento de Emergencia por un periodo de 5 años aproximadamente. Dr. Vidal Primiterio pertenece en el presente al staff del Lawrence General hospital al igual que al Departamento de Emergencia del Holy Family hospital. En el periodo del 2005 al 2010 trabajó en Greater Lawrence Family Health center como médico primario. En el 2010 inició su práctica privada en la ciudad de North Andover y dos años más tarde trasladó su oficina a la ciudad de Lawrence, (MARSTON MEDICAL CENTER, en el 25 Marston St) donde hasta la fecha tiene su práctica establecida por los últimos 11 años. Dr.Vidal Primiterio se ha dedicado en la última década ayudar a los médicos inmigrantes a orientarlos en sus pasos hacia su sueño de poder ejercer medicina en los Estados Unidos.
Dr. Vidal Primiterio ha sido reconocido en varias oportunidades en la ciudad de Lawrence, en el año 2016 por el alcalde de turno, (Sr. Danny Rivera), Casa Dominicana y el Consulado Dominicano otorgándole el premio de Juan Pablo Duarte 2016 en la alcaldía de la ciudad de Lawrence en honor a su labor rendida a la comunidad hispana, también ha sido reconocido durante la décima quinta Feria Internacional del Libro en octubre 2021 de la ciudad de Lawrence por su ardua labor médica en la comunidad de Lawrence durante la pandemia Covid-19. El Dr. Vidal Primiterio fue nominado como el Gran mariscal de la ciudad de Lawrence en el pasado verano en las festividades Semana Hispana 2022 donde fue galardonado por el Estado de Massachusetts, representado por Mr. Ronald Marino speaker of the house and Mr. Frank Moran, State Representative.

Then he returned to the City of Lawrence and entered the university, Massachusetts College of pharmacy and Health and science where he obtained his master’s degree as Physician Assistant, once graduated he began to practice medicine in various local hospitals such as: Merrimack Valley hospital in the city of Haverhill, MA (Emergency department), then transferred to Holy Family Hospital (Emergency department) for a period of approximately 20 years, at the same time I work at Lawrence General Hospital, (emergency department), for the same in the Winchester City Hospital in the Emergency department for a period of approximately 5 years. Dr. Vidal Primiterio has been recognized on several occasions in the city of Lawrence, in 2016 by the mayor on duty, (Mr. Danny Rivera), Casa Dominicana and the Dominican Consulate, awarding him the Juan Pablo Duarte 2016 award at the mayor’s office of the city of Lawrence in honor of his work rendered to the Hispanic community, he has also been recognized during the fifteenth International Book Fair in October 2021 of the city of Lawrence for his hard medical work in the Lawrence community during the Covid pandemic -19. Dr. Vidal Primiterio was nominated as the Grand Marshal of the city of Lawrence last summer at the Hispanic Week 2022 festivities where he was honored by the State of Massachusetts, represented by Mr. Ronald Marino speaker of the house and Mr. Frank Moran , State Representative.
