Description: In this conference, the loss of consciousness and its relationship with different neurological and psychiatric disorders will be explored. The clinical features and diagnostic tests used to differentiate between disorders such as epilepsy, syncope, dissociation, and coma will be discussed. Risk factors, comorbidities, and treatments for each of these disorders will also be discussed. By the end of the conference, attendees will have a better understanding of how to perform a differential diagnosis in patients presenting with loss of consciousness and will be able to provide more specific and effective treatment.
