Dr. AMIN C. CRUZ, PhD., has completed doctoral and master’s degrees in American and Latin American History and Journalism at the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Communication. He likewise has an Associate from Eugenio María de Hostos Community College.
For years he has worked as a journalist, professor, researcher, and adviser at the University of New York at Buffalo, Boricua College, Martin Luther King, High School, Alianza Dominicana, and vice president, professor at the Dominican Reality Research Center in New York.
He is currently Minister Counselor of the Permanent Mission of the Republic
Dominican Republic before the United Nations, president of the World Congress of
Universities (CMU), World Press Congress (CMP), Congress
Hispanoamericano de Prensa of the city of New York, he was Director of the newspaper El Camino and the Institute of Pastoral Communications Journalism of the Archdiocese of New York, Vida Cristiana Magazine, TV Jesús and Radio Jesús.

He has been a representative and correspondent for various media from the Dominican Republic abroad, -newspapers and magazines-: La Noticia, El Sol, El Nuevo Diario, El Día, Amigo del Hogar Magazine. He was founder and director of the newspaper Eco Latino, El Deportista, La Revista Titúa, worked for El Diario La Prensa in New York, Radio Wado 1280 and Radio La X 1380.
He is the first Dominican president in the United States of America to preside over a
Student Government at a North American University in 1978. President of the Student Government, President of the Student Senate and Chairman of the Eugenio María de Hostos Community College Student Association. He also served as Treasurer of the Alumni Association of the University of New York at Buffalo.
