To teach home attendant or home health aide health classes in New York State, a certified nurse must meet the following requirements:
- Be a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN).
- Have a current license to practice nursing in New York State.
- Have at least two years of experience working as a nurse in a home health setting.
- Complete a training program on how to teach home health aide classes.
- Be approved by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH).
