Behind every Health Fair lies a story of dedication that began decades ago in Washington Heights, Manhattan, under the vision of Dr. Arístides Restituyo. When no one could imagine that smoking could be banned in public places in New York City, Dr. Restituyo was already organizing innovative anti-smoking campaigns. His commitment led him from creating campaigns against excessive noise in Washington Heights to establishing a community health movement that would transcend borders.

With unwavering passion, Dr. Restituyo brought community health fairs to public schools, churches, parks, outdoor streets, and hospitals, expanding their impact throughout New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the Dominican Republic. His dedication was so profound that he became a bone marrow donor, demonstrating that community service has no limits.

These fairs carry the slogan «Decide to be Healthy» – «Decida ser saludable», a message that summarizes decades of tireless work for community wellness.
