BIOGRAPHY: Amy Edmunds.
NIH award winning scholar and researcher Amy Edmunds is a global trendsetter and thought leader for stroke survivorship among young adults. She has been a frequent speaker in the world’s largest strokecare venues, including the World Stroke Congress and the International Stroke Conference. After experiencing a cryptogenic stroke in 2002, her graduate studies led to the establishment of YoungStroke, Inc., a non-profit in 2005. It marks America’s first patient advocacy organization to raise awareness about the unmet needs of young stroke survivors. Partnering with Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, she coordinated YoungStroke 2015 as the first international conference on this topic. She is the first American stroke survivor to serve on the Board of Directors of the World Stroke Organization and was re-elected to the role in 2018. Currently, as principal of Young Stroke Media, she consults clients world wide about stroke patient outreach, education and public awareness.

Abreu- Fundadora y CEO de LATINC Claritza Abreu, una ejemplar emigrante de Republica Dominicana, cuenta una impresionante carrera en el área de tecnología Claritza Abreu ha ocupado cargos ejecutivos en el área de tecnología en importantes organizaciones públicas y privadas, es también profesora de tecnologia en Cambridge College. Claritza además de su exitosa carrera profesional, es también una líder comunitaria y una miembra activa de la sociedad Latina en Massachusetts. Por más de veinte años, Claritza ha apoyado su comunidad en asuntos de educación, emigración, civismo, empleos y desarrollo profesional. Por sus contribuciones comunitarias, se le han otorgado importantes reconocimientos como Líder Comunitaria, entre ellos fue seleccionada como una de los 100 latinos más influyentes de Massachusetts; fue distinguida como una de las mujeres que observar, “Women to Watch ” asi como por dos sus alma maters: Boston University e INTEC y por el gobierno de la Republica Dominicana. Claritza es graduada de Ingeniería de Sistemas de INTEC, New York University y Boston University y asi como cursos de postgrado en “Suffolk University” y West Virginia Universty. Perth Amboy is a city located in Middlesex County in the state of New Jersey with more than 50,000 inhabitants, with a 78% of Latino residents, of which it is estimated that more than 52% is of Dominican origin. Perth Amboy, is at the top of the report list of most cases affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, with more than 17,000 positive cases, and more than 1,200 deaths, to this day.
Tanto del departamento de salud, tampoco la administracion local, no han investigado estas muertes.
The appearance of COVID-19 in the United States has brought us a sad reality, a global collapse of all health-related institutions, such as the nursing home hospital system, CDC, including OSHA, and many factors about the corona virus we are still learning about.

US Foods, local de Perth Amboy, es fuente de contagio del COVID 19
PERTH AMBOY, US FOOD 5 EMPLOYEES DIE:
A consequence of this crisis is what we are denouncing on this occasion, which is occurring in the city of Perth Amboy, with the company US Food ® which operates in the city, with more than 300 employees, in which they have already had 5 employees die without any local, state or federal authority having initiated any preventive measures yet to date.
The most worrisome thing is that this company US food®, a company dedicated to the distribution of restaurant food, with more than 28,000 employees throughout the country, and more than 70 stores, this company is currently donating food contaminated with the virus-crown in the city of Perth Amboy, and other cities which is why we understand that it will be difficult to stop and slow down the spread of COVID 19, in this city of Perth Amboy. The consequences of all this so far is the report of 5 deaths, which The New Jersey State Department of Health has not reported it. «I called our mayor Wilda Diaz several weeks ago, asking them to start an investigation, without getting a response from her,» said Dr. Carmen Cecilia Ramirez, who was saddened to see her brother Mr. Ygnacio Felix Ramirez, an employee die from US Food.
«No one has passed through here doing massive tests, despite these 5 deaths,» said Juan Carlos, a US Food employee, consulted for this report.
That is why we are calling on the entire city council of the city of Perth Amboy, and our Honorable Assemblyman Yvonne Lopez, also on the governor of the state of New Jersey, Hon.Phil Murphy, to formally request the corresponding institutions like the health department, OSHA, an investigation into these 5 deaths, so we can prevent more deaths in this city.

I extend this call to the Honorable Dominican Consul of the state of New York, Lic. Carlos Castillo, which also includes the state of New Jersey, to join the investigation in tracking the relatives of the deceased, to provide testing for all employees, and determine the safety of food, in order to prevent this company from continuing to contaminate its employees and our community.
It is about preserving the life of our community in the city of Perth Amboy, it is about bringing peace, and tranquility in this city that has seen hundreds of patients die. Thank you.
