XIII Annual Community Health Fair “Decide to Be Healthy”

The Hispanic Association of Health Professionals, Inc. — AHPSI, in partnership with the Dominican Parade and Festival of Union County, New Jersey, cordially invites residents of Elizabeth, Union County, and surrounding cities to attend our XIII Annual Community Health Fair “Decide to Be Healthy.”

For 36 years, AHPSI has served the Hispanic community through health education, prevention, professional development, and community outreach. The Dominican Parade and Festival of Union County, celebrating 21 years of service, continues to promote culture, unity, and community commitment.

We are proud to highlight that this is, to our knowledge, the only Dominican parade and festival in the United States that organizes an annual community health fair of this kind, bringing together culture, prevention, service, and solidarity.

This year’s health fair will take place at the Juan Pablo Duarte & José Martí School in Elizabeth, New Jersey, a meaningful location honoring the founder of the Dominican Republic, Juan Pablo Duarte, and the Cuban patriot José Martí. We sincerely thank the Elizabeth Board of Education for its valuable collaboration and support from the beginning.

We encourage all participants to pre-register in advance to help us better coordinate services and provide faster assistance on the day of the event.

Important: No identification document is required to register or receive services.

• Glucose testing
• Cholesterol and cardiovascular prevention orientation
• Medical and preventive health education
• Psychological counseling and community guidance
• Chronic disease education and prevention
• Dental and vision orientation
