It was on a late Spring of 1990, when making a change to the train 7 Train to Train A  New York, I heard a voice call me and said «Resti» was the Dr.Vinicio Correa, former teammate work in the Dominican Air Force, he  said:  «I’m glad you are here I will invite you to learn a new association which is formed with Dr.Eliscer Guzman, and Dr.Bautista» that marked the beginning of my integration into this great association, Dr.Correa unfortunately died at a very young age of 36 years, but also remember the last words like today where the exchange with me, when literally said «Wow Resti, I am in your debt, I brought the association, I always receive the Ahpsi newsletters, and I have not been able to participate again, I look at the work you do and integrate me. «
The Hispanic Health   Professionals Association  Inc. New York, on this day celebrates its 25th anniversary, is known by many that during the first three years had no official name until it was incorporated in 1993 with its current name, I remember perfectly in the initial stage when one day I phoned Dr Carlos Williams, current chairman of ahpsi  and textually said: «The Dr.Eliscer Guzman & Fiquito  and with this association have created a monster,» I recorded that phrase, with the passage of time I have seen proven what today we are  an institution that has received more than 3,000 healthcare professionals from throughout Latin America, including also Pakistan, India, Africa., which has contributed to more than 500 professionals today have their respective licensed his career, and we have to more than 600 professionals also now possess certifications in the field of health, and especially we have achieved, perhaps unintentionally be the main institution which receives most professionals in the entire eastern United States, we have always said, «we are the second house of health care in the USA»
Fate has privileged me to work with the vast majority of our past presidents, the Ahpsi, including our founder Dr, Eliscer Guzman, who trust in me to be part of your team in our first stage and subsequent .
For a special day as today,  when we celebrate our anniversary Silver, I want to thank all of our past presidents, our founders, our board Member, our organizing committee and especially to our sponsors distinguished for making this Memorable gala dinner, today we can ensure that our association has left indelible footprints, so we let the new generation of members ahpsi a great challenge and is continuing this mission necessary for new immigrants and necessary to the community, Leave  Trace has been our great contribution, as association, eloquently expressed by the poet and philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson
